Dean O'Hare | ||
Dean
O'Hare is a seasoned voice of the international business and
insurance community. O'Hare retired as chairman and chief executive
officer of The Chubb Corporation at the end of 2002, after having
served 40 years with Chubb. He joined Chubb in 1963, was named an
officer of the corporation in 1972, chief financial officer in 1981,
president in 1986, and chairman and CEO in 1988. Additionally,
O'Hare served as a member of the President's Advisory Committee on
Trade Policy and Negotiations and was a member of The Business
Roundtable and the Global Business Dialogue on E-commerce. O'Hare is
currently a director of Fluor Corporation and H.J. Heinz Company. He
is chairman of the New Jersey Partnership and chairman of the United
States Council for International Business (USCIB.) He served as a
director of the American Insurance Association for 15 years and as
chairman for 4 years. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, O'Hare
graduated from New York University in 1963 with a B.S. in financial
management, and in 1969 earned an M.B.A. from the Pace University
Graduate School of Business Administration.
