| Jake
Hampton Jake’s latest venture, Virtual MGA, is the culmination of 20 years of experience in both insurance operations and insurance related technology. Jake’s experience working in production capacities for carriers and brokers as well as his startup experience in both the US and London markets gives him a unique insight into the needs of the insurance marketplace. Virtual MGA was created to provide a fully-automated placement and issuance platform for its MGA customers, enabling them to transact program business on-line with their retail partners. Jake’s insurance operations experience began as an underwriter with Chubb in their specialty lines division and later working in various capacities as producer, manager, and owner for several large and medium sized brokers including Jardine Insurance Brokers, Alexander & Alexander and Frost Insurance Services. After discovering that he like the insurance business but not the insurance process, in 1999 Jake sold his stake in a broker and co-founded Singleentry.com, a web-based platform for specialty lines placements. Building on the knowledge gained from Singleentry.com, in 2002 Jake joined the executive team of Kinnect, a Lloyd’s of London subsidiary created to build an electronic placement system for transacting business in the Lloyd’s market. Finally, in 2006 Jake created Virtual MGA Ltd. Co. where he serves today.
