Stock
Blake Y. Stock is Chief Executive Officer and
Managing Partner of the Combined Group it’s affiliates and subsidiaries
(“Combined”) and is responsible for strategic and operational affairs of the
organizations. Stock joined Combined in May 1992 as Corporate Controller, then
Chief Financial Officer. In January 2002 Stock was appointed as Chief Executive
Officer and in January 2006 named as Managing Partner
Combined is a program administrator widely recognized as best in class
providing distribution and administration of casualty insurance coverages and
services through it’s 1,600 agency plant in the South and Southwestern United
States. Stock is responsible for placement of Combined’s Texas nonsubscription
(“Opt-Out” insurance) facilities in manuscripting coverage forms and
establishing the carrier/reinsurer markets. Combined has underwritten over $1.2
billion of workers compensation equivalent nonsubscription premiums and
administered over 42,000 nonsubscription claims for Texas employers since
October, 1989. In 2002 the organization began it’s web-based electronic
aggregation initiative of QuoteExpress
which provides producing agents an Internet rate, quote and bind platform for
multi-carrier markets. QuoteExpress has achieved substantial production levels
and outstanding carrier profitability.
Stock is a Board of Director member for both the Texas Association of Business,
an association representing over 25,000 Texas businesses, and the Texas
Alliance of Nonsubscriber, an association of the state’s leading nonsubscribing
employers. Stock Chaired the 2005 Legislative Committee Nonsubscribers Task
Force for TAB and is an active member of the Nonsubscribers Executive
Committee.
In 2001 Stock became an executive member of the Texas Surplus Lines Automation
& Technology Committee founded to establish SLSOT standards for the Electronic
Forms Technology platform which provides electronic filing functionality to
excess and surplus agencies.
In addition to his professional roles, Stock is Founder and President of Share
A Smile Foundation a 501(c)(3) Organization founded in 2002 to treat children
with vascular birth anomalies. This organization, in partnership with The
Fogelson Craniofacial Surgery Center for Children and Children’s Medical Center
of Dallas, provides medical services to children in need
